Description: One summer afternoon, as I was hiking through a local prairie, I encountered a field of Black Eyed Susans. Golden hour was setting in and as I crouched down to investigate, the combination of a dramatic glow and gentle breeze created the illusion that the flowers were dancing. While that is a difficult experience to capture with paint, I chose to utilize a more impressionistic style in this work to simulate the performance.
