The rocky shorelines, rugged cliffs, and blue waters of extraordinary depths and crystalline clarity all make it a sight to behold and a worthy pilgrimage to recharge a weary soul. This painting is of a cove and island that sits just south of Split Rock Lighthouse and is, to my mind, a quintessential depiction of the North Shore's radiant beauty. I hope the composition of this image accurately portrays how the 'Big Lake' naturally and fully embraces its visitors.
