Description: One of my favorite pastimes is hiking; exploring the sometimes hidden and often overlooked beauty in natural landscapes. I am particularly fond of Autumn and the gorgeous spectacle of colors mother nature puts on display. On a hike with a few friends in the fall of 2018, I was admiring the leaves leaping from towering maples, sycamores, oaks, and beech when we happened upon a small pond. Like a web, the water both captured the falling leaves and the light streaming through the branches of the trees once home to those leaves.
